Promoting an inclusive community for people with living with disability
June 19 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Harry was a 25 year old student taking a gap year in 1999 when he woke up with double vision and difficulty walking. This occurred in brussels, Belgium. This was the beginning of a two year inpatient journey that included 5 months in ICU “locked in” and 17 months of rehabilitation which included time at his home medical school in Canberra. Three years after the event Harry returned to full time study, this time with quadriplegia. He is now a senior staff specialist in the areas of Rehabilitation Medicine and Pain Medicine and is raising a growing family in Melbourne.
