Clinical ethics support services are well established in the United States and are increasing in Europe, but are less developed in Australia and New Zealand. In this session, a number of paediatric and adult case studies will be presented to encourage discussion and analysis of the ethical issues that arise in healthcare and promote consideration of whether clinical ethics services might provide a valuable resources for physicians dealing with complex ethical issues in clinical practice.
