Why has Congress been cancelled?

Considering the global repercussions of COVID-19, it is our responsibility to put the safety of our members and the community we serve above all else.

Will the RACP Congress 2020 be held later in the year?

Unfortunately, we will not be holding a physical Congress this year, however we are currently reviewing alternative options for delivering the Congress program and will provide an update on this as soon as we are able.

What do I do if I was part of the Convocation Ceremony?

All new Fellows who have been invited or have registered to attend Convocation Ceremony in Melbourne in May 2020 will be contacted about alternative ceremonies later in the year. For more information on this please contact memberservices@racp.edu.au

Are Division, Faculty and Chapter events going ahead?

All face-to- face events are no longer going ahead in May 2020, however some events may be postponed until later in the year or delivered in an alternative format. Please contact your Division, Faculty or Chapter President for more information.

What if I submitted an abstract for Congress?

If you submitted an abstract and were expecting to present at Congress it will still be published in either the Internal Medicine Journal Congress abstract supplement or the Journal of Paediatrics and Child Health Congress abstract supplement and will be available in May 2020.

All accepted presenters will be offered the option to present a RACP Congress 2021 in Brisbane on Wednesday, 28 April to Saturday, 1 May 2021.

Will I get a full refund?

Anyone who has registered for RACP Congress 2020 and any related ancillary events through the RACP Congress website, will automatically receive a 100% refund by the 31 March 2020. If by this date you have not received a refund, please contact racpcongress@eventsctm.com

What about my accommodation and flights?

If you booked your accommodation with Event Travel Management at the same time as your Congress registration you will also receive a full refund for this.

Delegates are encouraged to contact their travel provider for any other refunds on flights and accommodation. The College is not able to provide refunds for these expenses.

I am an award/prize recipient, when will I receive my prize?

It is dependant on the terms of your award/prize. Recipients will either be invited to an alternative event later in the year or will be invited to attend RACP Congress 2021. Please contact your Division, Faculty or Chapter representative or the RACP Foundation for more information.
