Dr Adam Stewart (QLD)
Molecular epidemiology and hospital spread of ceftriaxone non-susceptible Enterobacterales in the Sunshine Coast region, Australia
Dr Adam Stewart is an Infectious Diseases Advanced Trainee at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and a Medical Research Fellow at the University of Queensland Centre for Clinical Research. He completed his medical degree with first class honours and the university medal from Griffith University in 2013; and a Masters of Public Health and Tropical Medicine from James Cook University in 2016. Dr Stewart is currently undertaking a PhD at the University of Queensland under Professor David Paterson and is the lead investigator for an international multicentre randomised controlled trial evaluating a novel antibiotic for treatment of multidrug resistant Gram-negative bloodstream infections.
