Dr David Burgner

David Burgner is a Group Leader and Principal Research Fellow at Murdoch Children’s Research Institute and a paediatric infectious diseases physician at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne. He trained in the UK, Australia and Africa. He has a career-long and slightly unhealthy fascination with Kawasaki disease and is involved in epidemiological, clinical and laboratory research and clinical guidelines. He is co-founder of the International Kawasaki disease Genetics Consortium and medical advisor to the Kawasaki disease Foundation Australia.
