Dr Fran Mouat
Dr Fran Mouat is originally from Scotland and graduated from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 1995. She trained in General Paediatrics in New Zealand and the UK before moving to Melbourne to complete advanced training in Paediatric Endocrinology. In 2008 Fran was appointed as a Consultant Paediatric Endocrinologist and Diabetologist at Starship Hospital, where she is now the Lead Clinician. Clinical interest areas include adolescence and transition, intersex disorders, CF Diabetes and insulin pump therapy in disadvanged groups.
Fran has research interests including the impact of Coeliac Disease on children with Type 1 Diabetes and growth outcomes in children born following IVF treatment. Fran is Co-Chair of the National Clinical Network for Intersex Disorders, and past Chair of the National Clinical Network for Child and Adolescent Diabetes. She is also past Paediatric Representative on the committee for Endocrinology training in New Zealand for the Royal College of Physicians.More information soon
