Dr Michael Thompson
Dr Michael Thompson is an Advanced Trainee in Endocrinology and the Chief Registrar at the Royal Hobart Hospital. He also works as a Lecturer and Examiner for the University of Tasmania and as Support Registrar for the Postgraduate Medical Council of Tasmania.
Michael is currently completing a PhD focussed on balancing the risks and benefits of sun exposure across the lifespan and has a keen interest in hereditary endocrine neoplasia syndromes, such as succinate dehydrogenase paraganglioma syndromes and multiple endocrine neoplasia type 1. He enjoys all aspects of clinical endocrinology, teaching and research. Recreational ventures include hiking and long distance trail running.More information soon
